Silently watching her grandfather paint seascapes in oils, Jayne has always been interested in art. Raised in North Yorkshire and Hertfordshire when the New Romantics were at their peak, Jayne is a self-taught acrylic and gouache painter who finds inspiration through her connection to nature and wildlife. She fell in love with Dorset on a school trip and aspired to live the artist life there. She now lives, paints and exhibits in the beautiful woodland town of Verwood, taken from the Old English ‘The Fayrewood’ meaning ‘beautiful wood’. Jayne has been exhibiting and selling her work since 2003 and is a PA member of the SAA offering bespoke 1:1 tuition.
